Welcome to the Canberra Zombie Walk. Zombie walks have been spreading across the globe for several years, raising awareness and support for various charities, and now the infection is spreading to Canberra.
This year Canberra Zombie Walk 2015 will be on Saturday 31 October.
This year the official all-ages Canberra Zombie Walk party will be Retro Invasion 2015 and held the night before, Friday 30 October. Whether you're a fan of bell-bottoms, have a secret stash of shoulder pads or just dig all things tie-dye, this night of epic retro music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s is sure to be a blast!
The zombie walk involves participants dressing as zombies and the undead, who then limp, shuffle and walk through the city streets and malls. The walk is purely for fun and for those who enjoy dressing up, and those with a love of brains - we are seeking to raise as much awareness and funds for the Brain Foundation as possible.
The Canberra Zombie Walk is a free event for all ages - so get the family together and bring your little monsters along for an afternoon of fun!
The dead will be rising and invading the streets of Canberra 31 October 2015. We will be meeting at Regatta Point from 3pm and starting the walk at 3.30pm. Stay tuned to this site or our Facebook page for updates.
As with other cities in Australia, the Canberra Zombie Walk will be supporting the brilliant work of the Brain Foundation. The Brain Foundation is dedicated to funding world-class research Australia-wide into neurological disorders, brain disease and brain injuries. So lather yourself in blood, let the rot set in and help spread the infection for this great cause.
The annual Canberra Zombie Walk is back Saturday 31 October 2015. Zombie walk registrations are now open.
What's a zombie walk without a party! This year we will be getting our dancing shoes on..
